This is the most obvious and the most overlooked fact: you're going to Oxford to study.
The degree is a great stamp on your CV- but in the end it's about your education, not what you tell other people.
If you don't like the choice of courses at Oxford- don't apply!
It's better to obtain a degree in something you're interested in- even if it's surf technology, or indian cooking, than a fancy one in something that means nothing to you.
You have much more chance in succeeding at something you're passionate about, than something you studied to get a good job - no matter what anyone tells you.
