Aravind Adiga's novel has been haunting me the past week-
The story is narrated from a villager turned driver turned entrepreneur's point of view.
It's based on the shocking divide between the rich and poor, and between city and village life in India.
He's entirely right about how oblivious we can be to the plight of people living around us- and even sharing our home.
I've lived in India my whole life and I've never been to a village- even though villages make up 70% of my country.
