Oxford graduates are unusual to say the least.
I can't think of any other place where you can find such a diverse mix of people who all share a passion for their subject.
The graduate community is highly international-
In my first week, I met people from literally all over the world- from Kenya to Latvia-
in fact, I've met far more students from outside UK than from within the country!
The collegiate system is a fantastic idea- I've spoken to people who're studying music and Russian literature as well as medicine and mathematics- which I wouldn't have managed to if I'd only belonged to a department, and not a college as well.
It's inspiring to meet so many people who love their work- it's such a rare thing to see!
