We have PBL sessions every week- which are an interesting way of learning.
The class is divided into groups, and each group is given a case study.
We're supposed to identify the disease based on the symptoms described in the case, and then identify which immune system deficiency the disease correlates to.
It's a great way of learning how the components of the immune system are supposed to function in steady state- and how important they are to healthy functioning.
We give presentations on what the disease is caused by, explain the dysfunction, and discuss various therapies.
It's a great way of mixing with the class, learning to give effective presentations, and explain various aspects of the subject.
