Oxford is proud of it's reputation of maintaining it's traditions, no matter how kooky they are;

Tourists are encouraged to take pictures of formal events at Oxford to sustain it's image of aloofness- but it gets pretty wild and utterly unposh after these ceremonies.

One of Oxford's most legendary bops (the Oxford term for fancy dress parties) is the Sexy Subfusc bop at Linacre College- it's held every year after matriculation, and is a chance for students to unwind after being dressed up ridiculously the whole day, by dressing even more ridiculously.
The dress code is simple- wear your subfusc; and keep it sexy.
